Adams County Christian Academy (VG)

The girls were the first to start things up for the Warriors and with their matching hair and Warrior blue eyeliner they were more than ready to meet the opposing team, Adams County Christian Academy.

The first half action was lacking. In the first quarter, ACCA had six to the Warriors three points. Then at the half, with the girls still trailing, Coach Ortner pulled them together and explained some new plays to them.

With a combination of new plays and tough defense the girls took the lead in the third quarter and pulled down a win.

Everyone contributed greatly to this win. Gabrielle, Emily, and Abby led the team in rebounds. Priya, Emma, and Amanda led the team in steals. Ashley and Emma led the team in baskets for the night, Ashley with 11 points and Emma with 13. While Gabrielle and Abby hit some key shots, Katey and Priya also took to coach’s instructions and did not back away from shooting. The Warriors ended up on top finishing 28-24.

In the end it was a great win for the Warriors to begin their season.
