After watching 3 games before their own, the guys were more than ready to take on the Carlisle Crusaders. They came out strong and took the lead early on in the game.
The Warriors were much faster and out-hustled the Crusaders and by halftime the Warriors were up by a good amount and had the fans cheering them on as they headed to the locker room.
The Warriors kept their pace and had the Knights trailing throughout the entire 3rd quarter. In the 4th quarter the Crusaders’ shooters got hot and it was a intense game until the end. The Warriors found themselves down 65 to 52 when the final buzzer went off.
Toby McGrath led the team in rebounding, pulling down 12, with Chris Leao (8) and Jonathan Pefley (5) following him. Josiah Carstens was high scorer with 16 points; other contributers were John Koffman (15) and Toby and Chris both with 7. John and Toby also led the team in assists, dishing out 4 each, Josiah right behind them with 3. Josiah led the team in steals, nabbing 4.
The Warriors didn’t end up on top but they worked hard. They left the game wanting a re-match on a better polished court. :)
