CHEN - VG
On December 1st the Warriors took on the toughest opponent that they have met yet in the season. Coach Barry was riding solo for the night, as Coach Phil and Coach John both had practices, but his faithful ball boy Isaac was ready and available when assistance was needed. CHEN came out strong and took off with a fast physical game. With 2 minutes and 42 seconds left in the first quarter, the Warriors still hadn't scored and CHEN was up by 9.
In the second quarter however, the Warriors rallied and found themselves up by one at halftime. They went into the locker room at halftime with the score 18 to 19.
The second half of the contest proved to be a test of endurance and character. Both teams played hard and scrapped for every loose ball and possession. The Warrior girls proved themselves to be battle ready and they exemplified true character. But in the end, the Warriors ended up falling to the Bravehearts 35-42. To sum it up with some stats: Rebecca led the squad in rebounds with 12. Rachel had 7 rebounds for the night. Rebecca and Rachel also topped the charts in assists for the night with 3 and 2 respectively. Ana, Rachel and Emily Pritt each had 3 steals and Rebecca was the lone blocker with 4 bataways!
