The varsity boys were more than ready to take on the Carroll Christian Academy Patriots after the varsity girl's game. Earlier in the year, the boys had defeated the Patriots, though not as easily as they could have because they played a man-to-man defense which didn't work as well. Lesson learned, the guys started with a zone defense, showing everyone the game was under control. The score was closer in the first quarter, but as time went on the boys picked up their game and put the score farther and farther apart. They pulled off a big win, leaving the final score 61-45.
Joel Kehr led the team with 18 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a rebound. Chris Leao came next with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Daniel Passarelli also scored 11 points along with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Toby McGrath had a double-double of 10 points, 12 rebounds, and an assist. Josiah Carstens had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and a steal. Jonathan Pefley scored a basket along with 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and a block.
