Frederick Christian Academy (VB)

For the second time of the season the boys were scheduled to play Frederick Christian Academy, a strong but comparable team to the Warriors. The varsity guys history with FCA is a tough one, the boys always seeming to have an off night when they play them. Hoping to break that pattern, the guys came out hoping to come away with a win. The boys started slow, having a very off shooting night and letting several baseline shots go. Being down 21-9 at the start of the second quarter, the boys made a run and started to get shots through the net, placing the score 36 to 28 at halftime in favor of FCA. The third quarter wasn't as strong as the previous one, the Warriors still struggling to hit a shot and the Defenders having a great night as they kept hitting shot after shot. With determination, the Warriors kept playing hard and started to hit the shots in the last 3 minutes of the game, but were unable to close the 10 point gap of 66-56 at the end of the game. Although an off night in shooting, the guys played great defense and kept shining in Godlt character through the entire game.
Daniel Passarelli led the team with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. Toby McGrath came next with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and an assist. Chris Leao had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and a block. Josiah Carstens scored 7 points along with 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Joel Kehr also had 7 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Jonathan Pefley had 8 points, 4 boards, and 3 blocks.
