The middle school boys were pumped and ready to take on the New Life Christian School Rams. When the boys played the Rams last season, the Rams had pressed the boys, resulting in numerous turnovers and a big win by the Rams. Having improved drastically since then, the boys were hoping for a win. Not surprisenly, the Rams started right into the full court press they had played the year before. This time, though, the Warriors were prepared and broke the press instantly. The teams seemed pretty even at first, both teams scoring easily and playing great defense. But starting in the second quarter the Warriors stepped it up a notch and took the games into their hands. With the lead of 23-13 at half, the Warriors didn't let anything go, going after every loose ball and grabbing numerous rebounds. The boys played an excellent game, allowing each player to play. They took the game with the final score of 43-35. After the game, one of the New Life parents came up to Coach Phil and commented not only on how much the boys had improved in just a years time, but on how much they enjoy playing the Warriors because of the shining Godly character portrayed by each player, coach, and fan. What a testimony to what the Warriors stand for! Excellent game boys!
Noah Passarelli led the team with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and an assist and block. Right behind him was Al Pedroza with double-double of 12 points, 18 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Daniel Messinger also had a double-double of 10 points, 12 rebounds, 7 steals, 4 assists, and a block. Zach Althoff scored 5 points along with 3 boards and a steal. Benjamin Passarelli had 1 point with 7 assists and 3 steals. Will Gammell had a basket with a steal and rebound.
