The Warriors Varsity Boys went to Carlisle, PA for the second time this season to play the Carlisle Christian Academy Crusaders. Play stopped late in the first quarter to honor the achievements of Carlisle's senior center, Peter Fisher, as he surpassed 1,000 points for his career at Carlisle. Although the Warriors held the Crusaders' scoring leader to just 11 points in the first half, the Warriors enjoyed only a 2-point advantage at the break, 28-26.
The Warriors' box-in-one defense was not so successful stopping Fisher in the second half as he poured in 27 after the intermission to lead the Crusaders to a 60-56 win.
Daniel Passarelli paced the Warriors with 20 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Josiah Carstens added 16 points. Toby McGrath pitched in 9 points and 8 boards. John Koffman scored 8 points with 10 assists and 2 rebounds. The Leao brothers, Chris and Alex, added one bucket apiece with 7 and 6 rebounds, respectively.
Great effort, Warriors! God is so good. He teaches us patience and temperance through many avenues, even tough lossses. May we be singular of purpose, to give Him all the glory!
