After a rough game a few days before, the Warriors were more than ready to take on the Fulton County community Christian School Chargers. The last time the two teams met, the Warriors had pulled out a 10-point win. But they knew the Chargers wouldn’t go down without giving a fight; so they came pumped and ready to play.
Just as the first time these two teams met, it was neck and neck for a while. Both teams came out with tough defense and great offense, and the Chargers had a lead of 15-14 at the end of the 1st quarter.
Both teams came out with just as much determination in the 2nd quarter, the score at halftime being 27-26 in favor of the Chargers.
In the second half, though, the Warriors picked up the intensity and got many fastbreaks, great passes to the inside, and great 3's to put the Warriors ahead 42-39 at the end of the 3rd. The 4th quarter wasn’t much different; the Warriors making great passes and getting the ball to the open man for beautiful baskets. The Warriors pulled down a win with a final score of 58-45.
Josiah Carstens was the high scorer with 19 points, with 15 of the points coming from 3-pointers. John Koffman had a triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists, and 4 steals. Chris Leao also had a great game with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Toby McGrath had 8 points, 7 boards, and 2 assists. Daniel Passarelli had 3 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Jonathan Pefley had 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal. Alex Leao had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist. Joel Kehr contributed 3 points.
It was a great win and the guys played great the whole time. Great job Warriors!
