The Frederick Warriors next game was agaisnt the Frederick Christian Academy Defenders. The boys walked in knowing they had a game in front of them, but maybe not knowing quite how much of a game.
The Defenders owned the court from the first to final buzzer. With their speed, amazing shooting, and tight defense; it was a rough game for the Warriors. At half time the score was 52-9.
But the boys never gave up and they came out with determination in the 3rd quarter, putting the score to 66-20. The Defenders didn’t allow a comeback though, and the final score was 78-28.
Chris Leao led the team with 6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block. John Koffman also had 6 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and a steal. Josiah Carstens was the high scorer with 8 points and 2 rebounds. Daniel Passarelli had 5 points and a board. Michael Ownes had 3 points and an assist. Toby McGrath contributed 6 boards. Alex Leao and Jonathan and Michael Pefley all contribued 2 rebounds each.
It was a very rough game, but the guys showed Godly character through the whole game. Good effort guys!
