MACA - MSG

The Middle School Girls got spanked on Thursday night at Mt. Airy Christian Academy.  It was  tough game from tip off to the final whistle.  They joked and asked that pictures of Mckenzie's sleepover be put on the blog rather than a post about their loss to MACA.  But as it goes with any good team, something is learned from every game even if the game ends in a loss.  Looking back over the scorebook, the first quarter of the game was tight with the Warriors scoring 6 points and the Lions scoring 8.  The second and third quarters found the Warriors being outscored by 15 points.  In the fourth quarter however, the Warriors outscored MACA 10 to 9.  MACA collapsed on the ball at every opportunity which created turnovers and gave them quality possesssions.  It was a tough loss with the final score 27 to 43.  Our Warrior Girls, despite the tough environment, never gave up.  Kathryn Romanchuk rallied the girls with her spirited talk in the huddle.  It was clear that the Warriors wanted to win this one....it just wasn't turning out that way in the record books.  There were 5 team blocks for the night made by Joanna Hughes, Kathryn Romanchuk and Jackie Lamont.  The Warriors gave it there all with 8 steals during the game.  Kathryn Romanchuk led in rebounds with 14 and Gabrielle Freese had 8. Jackie Lamont led the team in steals for the night with 4.  The Warriors end this game with a record of 7 and 2.
