St.James - MSG

The second meeting between the Warriors and the Saints proved to have the same ending as the first meeting but the Warriors, who came out on top, played a much stronger and more confident game than they did during the first meeting.  The Middle School Warriors won the game 28 to 10.  This time however, there was no nail biter ending.
The Warriors played competently the entire match and handled St. James' defense very calmly.  Good ball movement by the Warriors enabled them to get the ball in the paint and made scoring much more productive.  6 Warriors were in the scoring column and every Warrior had a statistic of some type in the stat book.  It was truly a team effort and a team victory.  The score at half time was 14 to 4.  The Warriors held St. James to only 2 points in 3 consecutive quarters.
Emma Matthews led the team in steals with 5 for the night.  Jackie Lamont, Kathryn Romanchuk, Joanna Hughes, Gabrielle Freese, Mckenzie Quick and Kirsten Blickenstaff all had steals as well.  Joanna Hughes and Kathryn Romanchuk both blocked shots.
Joanna blocked 3 and Kathryn rejected 2.  Kathryn Romanchuk led the team in rebounds with 12 rebounds for the night.  Great win for the Warriors.  This brings the Warriors to 7 and 1 with MACA on the horizon for Thursday's game.
