Senior Day - MSB

Saturday Jan. 22 the middle School Boys team played one of four games played by all the Warriors teams at New Life Christian School against the Front Royal Flames. This was an enjoyable day which saw a great turn out of fans. It was great to see family members and fans who have a hard time making it to week day games.
The team seemed strong and ready for the battle at hand. The starting line up gave the Warriors a nice lead in the first quarter of 9 -2 and then increased that lead with the help of different players subbing in and out in the 2nd quarter to see a lead of 17 - 6 at the half. The Flames gathered steam in the 2nd half of the game out scoring the Warriors in both the third and fourth quarters. The Warriors were able to hold on to the lead beating the Flames 31 - 27 with all players in attendance seeing time in the game.
The Warriors team played all well, it seemed the starting line up showed in a very real way how they have led the team all season. They had determination and an even keeled understanding of their job on the court playing well together as other players came in and out of the game. They used the talents of each player and encouraging all to do their best.
Highlights from the game included: A powerful game from Joel Kehr who was high scorer along with John Koffman both at 8. Koffman was accurate at the foul line hitting 5 of 6 attempts. Others adding to the point total were Daniel Passarelli, Chris Lamont and Nathan Wright. Daniel Passarelli continues to help the team with his 3 pointers - hitting twice in this game along with Koffman and Kehr who each had a 3 pointer. Defense was working well on Saturday with Chris Lamont's 14 rebounds! Koffman with 8 others helping on the rebound count included Daniel Passarelli, Nathan Wright, Josiah Weaver and Timothy Diethrich. John Koffman had a notable 9 steals.

It was another solid game from the Middle School boys taking them to an 8 - 1 record and looking forward to two games this week
