The Warriors MS Boys learned what an intense full-court press can accomplish in their loss at Mt. Airy Christian Academy last Monday so they decided to try it for themselves on Friday against New Life Christian School. The efforts paid high dividends as the Warriors got off to a smothering start earning 19 steals and numerous other turnovers for the game. By the end of the first quarter, the score was 18-0. Liberal substitutions throughout the remainder of the game provided more of the same as the score was 28-1 at the half and 39-1 at the end of three quarters. The final score was 39-14 as the MS Boys improved their record to 9-2. Chris Lamont led all scorers with 12 points and 5 boards. Joel Kehr added 8 points and 2 steals. Timothy Diethrich pitched in for a season high 6 points along with 2 boards. Caleb Abel contributed 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists to go with his 4 points. Nathan Wright threw in 4 points, 4 boards, and 6 steals. John Koffman added 6 boards, 7 assists, and 2 points. Daniel Passarelli scored 3 points to go with his 3 rebounds and an assist. Joseph Joannides scored a bucket and had 3 steals. It was a great team effort with all the boys seeing playing time and getting a workout in the pressing defense.
